Vista Update

Regular readers of High Position technology blogs will know that we ourselves have experienced numerous infuriating problems with Vista. And here is our latest instalment!
A new Vista service update has been released by Microsoft and claims to improve stability, security and performance. However, Microsoft are also warning that the update could clash with some security software including BitDefender and Trend Micro. These security programmes will cease to work once the Vista update has been installed leaving the user open to corruption.
For those who actually want the updates, and are sure that it won’t interfere with their security, may find they also have problems. Old device drivers from RealTek AC, Intel and Symantec will stop the Vista update from being installed.
For those of us who would rather not have any more offerings from Vista, watch out as the update will automatically be installed on machines in mid-April.
So if you want it you might not be able to have it. If you don’t want it, you’re going to get it anyway. If you do get it, your security system may break and if you don’t get it but attempt to your tried and trusted programmes may stop you.
Another rip-roaring success from Vista, then. Thank you Microsoft!!
