Search Engine Strategies 2008 Hits The Windy City

The only major search engine marketing conference in the Midwest of the United States once again hits the city of Chicago. The SES is the leading global conference and expo series which travels the world educating delegates in all that is search engine marketing. Tens of thousands of delegates each year are delivered poignant and cutting edge seminars on the latest in search engine optimisation and advertising strategies.
Over the five day conference there is no shortage of different topics covered with an impressive depth of industry knowledge. Search Engine Strategies or SES was formed in 1999, conceived by the former editor of Search Engine Watch, Danny Sullivan. The series of conferences rapidly spread internationally and the following year saw an event hosted and London with many other countries to follow suit in the coming years including Italy, France and China. SES then expanded even further to cater for niche market segments specialising in specific technologies such as multimedia and mobile.
The opening keynote speaker for this year’s SES hosted in the windy city is Lawrence Lessig, a Stamford law professor who specialises in law and technology and was awarded the Free Software Foundation’s Freedom Award. He was recognised as an innovator by American Scientist who praised his opposition to copyright law infringing on innovation in technology and teaches in various aspects of law including the legislation surrounding the internet.
Search Engine Strategies brings search engines, industry professionals and clients together to exchange information on search engine marketing, one of the fastest growing marketing mediums on the planet. SES is hosted in a number of different cities across the globe including Hamburg, London, New York, Paris and San Jose. The latter culminates in the sought after Google Dance, hosted in the Googleplex in Mountview CA, which is free for SES delegates.
