Although most users see the social network platform as a free service, the fact is that massive amounts of revenue are required to keep it running, and currently there is not enough revenue coming in to maintain it.

Earlier in the year, US consumer groups raised a rather speculative alarm regarding the privacy implications of Google Health’s database of medical records; making unsubstantiated allegations that Google had tasked a team of lobbyists to push for the loosening of privacy laws in order for them to sell medical information to pharmaceutical and insurance companies.

Game Over? The End for Game Consoles?

The founder of a new facility for the internet that will allow PC and Mac users stream computer games says that he feels he is under attack. This is not surprising, when you consider the implications of Steven Perlman’s ideas to change how we play computer games and the threat this will have on the game console.
Onlive, which was launched in San Francisco in the Game Developers Conference, has received much excitement and scepticism over its plans. Its main plan is to supply computer users with high-quality games for low-end machines.
