Content Based Link Building In Search Engine Optimisation
Wednesday, den 16. September 2009Link Building
In the world of search engine optimisation the process of link building is seen as one of the most important activities in the advancement of search engine rankings. Link building itself can be separated into distinct areas; for the purpose of this blog article, the focus will be content based link building.
In the early days of search engine optimisation link building was a somewhat simple and indiscriminate affair. SEOs could simply build links almost anywhere and see results; this was also true in the area of content based link building, where the location of links mattered less than the fact that these links were present and visible. As the search engine algorithms became more advanced however, indiscriminate linking had to be phased out, replaced by a far more conscientious and more labour intensive process.

Checking Backlinks and Link Building
Friday, den 11. September 2009Organic Link Building
Link building is arguably the life blood of search engine optimisation. There is much speculation about link building strategies and the measurement of backlinks, particularly how search engines are now valuing backlinks. When you are measuring your backlinks there are a number of online resources available and different tools will throw back different results.
A good example of the difference in perceived links is the website Complywise. According to the research tool Backlinkwatch this website has 737 inbound links; this number is disputable when using other resources. Google seemingly will only report a “representative sample” of these backlinks leading to inconclusive results for SEO experts.

Is Online Gaming Really That Unhealthy
Friday, den 19. September 2008Many see the online gamer as a couch potato who does little or no exercise and instead spends their life sat in front of the television or monitor. This view however has been shattered this week with the release of a report arguing that computer gamers are in many cases fit and healthy. However, the report did find that gamers were more prone to depression. The commissioning of this report is representative of the growing popularity of computer gaming and its effect on lifestyle and health. Broadband in the Countryside
Friday, den 23. May 2008
For many years those in the country waited and waited for broadband to come to their villages and hamlets. Now it seems that overall, the countryside has finally overtaken towns and cities in the connection tables. A recent report released by Ofcom state that nearly sixty percent of rural households now have broadband compared to fifty seven percent of those in urban areas. It may seem rather inconsequential, but it is the first time in the history of broadband that rural areas are better connected that urban regions. Just four years ago it was the case that urban homes were twice as likely to receive broadband as those in the country; undoubtedly the rate of expansion has been rapid.
